Robert and I are thrilled to be featured in the December issue of Western Living Magazine – an entire page is devoted to us and 10 things we love (including items available at Provide). We would like to give a huge thanks to Anicka Quin (Editor-in-chief) and Michael Harris (Assistant Editor) for giving us this amazing opportunity. Provide has been showcasing Christian Woo's beautifully hand-crafted wood furniture pieces for sometime now – and we always look forward to visiting his studio (as well as many other top Vancouver artists and crafts people) at the East Side Culture Crawl. The "Crawl" starts today in various locations on the east side and goes until the 28th. Provide has recently received some new pieces from Christian including: a 4 drawer dresser with a yellow band (pictured above), two 2 drawer side tables with white bands and a very sleek queen size bed, all made in walnut with a hand rubbed oil finish. We are excited to see what he will have on display tonight at the Parker Street Studios.

Last night's REVELRY party was a huge success! We would like to thank everyone that came out to celebrate with us Provide's 3rd Anniversary. It was great to see so many wonderful people together having a good time and enjoying the festivities. The support that Provide has received over these past three years is truly astonishing – we are so grateful and happy that we could show our appreciation with this event.
We would also like to thank Michael White for the great music throughout the night, Chambar, Icon Fine Wine & Spirits and Get Fresh Flowers. In addition we thank Shereen de Rousseau, Encil House and Get Fresh Flowers for donating some fabulous prizes.
Thanks to everyone again and we look forward to REVELRY 4....

Heath Ceramics new seasonal collection is now available at Provide. Made in Sausalito California, this limited edition collection in Suede Red, Ruby Red and Drift includes a Salad Bowl, Vase, Bud Vase and Espresso set. The red colour is perfect for setting a festive table for the coming holiday season and the contrast of the flat and shinny surfaces adds unexpected depth and layering. Provide has only a select few pieces from this beautiful collection, so make sure you don't miss out.

The Bloom Coffee table by MTH Woodworks (recently seen at IDS West) is now on display at Provide. This beautiful table is a fusion of natural resin (made with peanuts and soybeans) and a locally salvaged and sandblasted cedar tree stump from Vancouver Island's artist John Ross. The result is a stunning piece of furniture that serves as functional art. For more details visit the Provide website.

While we were in Palm Springs we stopped in at the Parker Hotel to get a first hand view of the hotels decor and amenities. The Parker was designed by Jonathan Adler (who's pottery is available at Provide) and is a glamourous mix of 60's Palm Springs and a whimsical modern style. The lobby is filled with unexpected items that when combined together create an overall look that makes you feel as if your where transported back in time to the days of the Rat Pack.
We had a lovely lunch outside at Norma's and then walked the very impressive grounds that are truly an oasis in the middle of the desert. We dreamed about staying at one of the suites like the Gene Autry Residence (yes, he lived there) and lounging by the pool in the beautiful California sun. Dreams can come true, right?

Robert and I are in Palm Springs enjoying some sun and a bit of free time before the holiday rush starts. We are staying at our good friend Dean Wershler's beautiful house that has a terrific view from the pool (see above). We checked out the Ace Hotel last night and had a great time playing bingo as we were entertained by the fabulous Linda Gerard. Today we plan to pay a visit to the Parker Hotel designed by Jonathan Adler who is work is represented at Provide. For information about renting Dean's house follow the link below.
