Charlene Mullen is an award-winning designer, creating beautifully executed textiles for residential and commercial interiors. Intricate embroidery creates a contemporary, yet deeply personal feel.
Mullen's unique aesthetic is born of her training in illustration and textiles combined with over 15 years of experience designing embroideries for leading fashion houses including Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabanna, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Givenchy.
In 2007, Matthew Hilton commissioned Mullen to produced two ranges of furnishings for the launch of his eponymous brand at 100% Design in London. This led Mullen to create her own collection for which she was shortlisted as Best Newcomer at 100% Design in 2008.
Designs vary from decorative and ordered recreations of scientific structures to figurative designs with an illustrative feel and humorous narrative. The contours of machine and traditional hand embroidery bring an added depth and warmth to Charlene Mullen textiles.
Provide is very pleased to offer the work of this both imaginative and innovative designer who's designs are made available through the leading interiors brand De La Espada.
